I think you need to come out to the E30 meets m0ar!
Nice work. Setting up and then tinkering with MS must be fun!

Good job man! Why an iX though? You don't think your diffs will blow up on the first WOT pull at full boost?

oh, there's been quite a few pulls WOT at boost (only 5psi though), and no breaking. i have spare parts, which helps too.
the only thing that the crazy turbo iX's break is the front diffs, and thats only with 400+hp, clutch-drop drag launches. the shock load on the spider gears is just too much. or the cages in the front cv's shatter. i have lots of spare cv's and axles, and i'm not really looking for insane power, so i did it anyways.
besides, i have zero traction problems, even in the wet. kick rwd people's asses all over the place.
and its my car. lol.
edit: here's a youtube video of the exhaust, in case anyone can't play the other link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3OLtqf8fZM
oil drain was done with a unibit, and lots of grease. took FOREVER. but no chips went in the pan!

nope. and you finally got one eh?? i remember you asking about it a while ago. welcome to the club
the 'weak' driveline of the iX is blown out of proportion. you just need to take care of it, and not drive like an ass.

Yeah, bought it on ebay, haven't picked it up yet. Its in south dakota.
I doubt i'll be turboing mine like you did with yours, but i'm going to be very curious to see how your driveline holds up.
There's a few turbo ix's on bf.c, at least one or two on the east coast, and from what i've read, you're pretty much dead on. T/C's can hold up to about 350hp, as long as you're not stupid.

I've got lots of parts
Furyrider:
I've been watching the thread on e30tech, great job. Its nice to have a parts car to mock shit up on.
I'll be asking you for tips when I decide to start mine.

congrats man! although I'd be a little weary about wrapping the ebay manifold... wrapping already fatigues metal as is, and an ebay mani isn't exactly schedule 10 or anything
and 10psi on a GT30? come on man, 15 at least
