Cheap?? If you wanted a cheap car to mod, a civic would have been better. Im kinda thinking of that myself..........NAH!! Anyway, lookie here

Exhaust: ~$800-1000
Chip: ~$540
Cams: ~$1000
Differential: ~$1200
LTW Flywheel: (you need an M3 clutch for this) $930

You can see from this list that, well it can get pricey, so.....

I'd truely recommend Dinan products........even I have friends arguing about German car with American parts??, but I still find they are very good, and pricy as well

www.dinanbmw.com

if maxbimmer have another me or we get chance in Spring, I'll show u what's the diff after I've done the CAI, Exhaust, and chip

but, do u really want faster or u want to look more eyes killing and more attraction from guys&gals on the street?(well, it's the best if you can afford both, but............$$$$$)
well, before you go any further in performance mod., just think again, and see what is u really want?
with performance mod., if your budget is under $20k, then I wouldn't recommend, because without a big budget, it won't make ur car much faster..................and if you want it more sportier, just try the exhaust

good luck~~!

it means removing the OBDII system and replace it with a less restrictive emission control system, which is OBDI. OBDI equipped car are more "sensitive" to mods, whereas OBDII's self-adapt ability tends to reduce the effectiveness of mods.

By the way, going back from OBDII to OBDI is illegal.

The parts alone will cost u at least 1000US. Doing OBDI conversion on a Non-M car is a waste of money and time.

There are numerous ways to make your 328 M3 fast. Do some research on DTMpower.net.

Alan, your a fool if you choose dinan products. Everyone knows they are overpriced and result in underachieving performance. You want a car that is stock M3 fast? This is what you do:

Intake
Exhaust
Higher LSD differential (probably a 3.38 or a 3.46)
LOTS of weight reduction
Pullies
LTW flywheel
Fan Delete mod
Chip
Maybe some more agressive cams
and a very good driver!!!!

You should be able to pull convincingly on a stock M3 with all of these so..........

For 30K in trader they offer 1997 M3 2dr.
Just be carefull about the "scale"...
