6 CD Changer

Does anyone have an extra BMW CD changer for the trunk to sell???
I have also heard that I could use the Alpine one I already have in the trunk of my winter beater. I would have to purchase an adapter that would take a week to order in. This item is available at the dealship, I guess I am just looking for a 'good deal'

I am looking for the original BMW changer but if I have no luc I can use my Alpine changer with an adapter that will cost about $125.....

It will only work on a factory E36 deck.

The front seems to be the same. My brother and I have the exact same car only different colours. I was able to compare with his unit.
Do you know if this will work in the '98 328i? Will I have to buy any brackets to secure it in the trunk. My car did have one.....

It will work but you need the cable (dealer item). Are u replacing an existing one?

My bought my car through an auction at the same time my brother bought his. The changer unit was 'missing' when we received the car. There are two cables sticking out in the trunk. One has a 6 pin connector and the other one is a 3 pin connector.
It seems like in the picture that you have a floor mount bracket. Mine would need one that hangs from the top of the trunk. Do you have access to these parts being a BMW mechanic, through your shop?

You're right, this changer is out of a convertable (mounted on the floor). I don't have the other bracket for you, sorry.

It looks like you have the necessary cables for the changer.
