Carbon splitters on e36 m3 bumper-bad idea considering winter?

I ask this because I can save some money and get some PP car is lowered and I don't want to use my cf splitters as a snow plow-anyone have any experience with this?

ottawa might be different.

i drove with a slightly less than 4" ground clearance on winter wheels. it wasn't too bad considering most part was cleared. it felt funny when you hear the front lip breaking through some random snow patch when you're going fast enough
my summe

bad idea for winter, the easy solution is take them off during the winter months. thats what i did when i used to drive in the winter and had velocity splitters.

bad idea!

i had a splitter last winter and after we had that huge snowstorm in toronto i took them off ASAP. Being a snowplow is scary as shit cause the snow explodes on your bumper and flies on your windshield. Not only is your visibility instantly reduced but i was also scared its going to rip the whole bumper off.

Yeah, don't do that yet, wait til spring to put them on. It'll highly increase your chances of ****ing up your lip in the snow.
