Well My 2nd car I've owned to do this
Both cars were 1994's.... One from japan, and one from Germany...
300,000KM... I bought the car 5 years ago at 220KM...now I'm past 300KM... so sad lol

oh snap!! that's amazing!! BMW POWER! I actulay ran on a dyno a week ago and the numbers were still good even after 200,000kms... I will inform you when the next free dyno day is in richmond... The numbers are RWHP FYI

Damn.. Stock is supposed to be 138hp.. a new Echo has more HP then your car!! Man I'm not doing no dyno day, I probablly have around 50HP.... at the crank

tony those numbers are at the rear wheels ... so 138 at the crank should be just about right... 22% loss or something like that... look at 4800rpm its just funny

Oh yeah, 300k is awesome. Your car is in awesome shape with that kind of mileage...
Bear, what kind of drive train loss do you think you're seeing? 10-15%? I'm curious as hell to see what kind of power I'm not putting down...

well the guy told me at the place on a 4 banger it's prob 20-22% loss... the guy runing the dyno seemed to know what he was talking about

^^is your car manual? That's a little high % drivetrain loss for a stick. Not bad numbers for a 318.

ya it's manual... he said most of the power is lost in the diff and a little in the drive shaft

hmm, interesting. I know there is some drivetrain loss, but from what i had heard, low to mid 20 % drivetrain loss was generally the case in auto's because of automatic transmissions.
If my car has 22% drivetrain loss, it had 225 ft/lbs torque at the crank when it was stock, but had 172K kms. That would be pretty impressive.

I only found out late at night and it started at 8am and you had to be there early...I will post the next one for sure

lentech automotive in richmond... they have 4 a year ...2 more befor the summer is over... you get 1 run ... first 20 cars are garenteed to hit the dyno... dates are unknown at this time

Dyno type would affect the numbers too. We don't know the outside temp, humidity...I think 22% sounds high as well but the number itself isnt' as relevant as what your next step will be to BOOST them.
