My junky open 3.73 diffy out back does more less what I said. Tryed it this afternoon. It was a bit hard to turn, I guess its about seized up (high mileage and sitting outside w/o seals and plugs since '04) the one side turned, the other stayed put. I could barely turn it, so I guess not a good example. Whatever, its a diff, and I'm not gonna fight on it/waste my time over it. That would be too childish.

Yes the Ti diff should bolt right in. Everything should bolt up too. The 325e and 325I trannys have the same gear ratios so it be the same. As for the diff ratio of the Ti, I am not sure. Ask Eurostyle, he should know. I would guess it would be around 3.91 or something high-ish like that.

I have a 4.10 LSD if you're looking for something with that ratio. It's off a 160km 1991 318is

just to clear up any further misunderstanding:

LSD: turn one of the OUTPUT shafts, and the other output shaft turns the SAME WAY
OPEN: turn one of the OUTPUT shafts, and the other output shaft turns the OPPOSITE WAY

if the diff is old/semi-siezed, all bets are off though.

^^^I think the "misundertanding" is what happens when you turn the INPUT shaft!

^^lsd = both wheels spin (always)
open diff = both wheels sometimes spin, sometimes only 1. (only one wheel will have power, but sometimes the other wheel will still spin forward, just without any force.)
