If anyone is interested in reviving the Hamilton meets, I have a couple good spots that aren't baited out like the beach strip. One is Bayfront park (near the "other" Hutches) and the other is the Marine Discovery Centre, located near the foot of James street - where the Williams coffee pub is. Both have lots of space, aren't that busy in the late evenings, and would make for nice, low-key meeting spots....
