final torque spec?

Hey guys! Just curious; but does anyone know what the final torque value is on m50 head bolts? I seen in the Bentley Manual that it's 22 ft.lbs on the first stage, then 90 degrees, then 90 degrees again.

But is there acutally a number that can be placed on the final 2 stages?

Nope...I don't know specifically for the M50, but as with most head bolts these days they are torque to yield bolts (aka stretch bolts), they actually stretch as they are turned on the final two stages, and those require angles rather than torque specs as a result.

That's also the reason they can only be used once.

nahh...just use a protractor and a marker, works just as well. With 90 degree angles, you can pretty much eyball it.
