Wow, my bro had my car in the west end and said the storm just passed him by and no hail came down (thank god!). As soon as I heard hail, i popped my dads e39 in the garage but again no hail hit here either. Sucks that some of you have some repairs to do, nobody saw this hail coming.

^^ usually not, no.

The clear coat cracking is something you should be more worried about if the car has ever been repainted. Usually it's okay on original paint (like your is, being an '08) so I wouldn't worry about the clear coat. Also dents on seams or funny corners can crack, not so much on flat panels (like roofs or hoods). Well, that and the dent repair guy not being an asshat. Some of these guys are better than others.

^ No.

Comprehensive is acts of God that could not be avoided. If you have too many of them, then probably yes. It's like a windshield replacement.

OMG, I heard about this on the radio. Luckily I'm out of town and my car is parked safety at YYZ airport. Yikes! The size of the hail! Wow...
