gas companies charged with price fixing

Three companies and one individual pleaded guilty to the charges yesterday in Quebec Superior Court in Victoriaville. The companies, which include Ultramar Ltd., were fined a total of $2 million. This is the first time since 1955 that a gas price fixing prosecution has resulted in convictions, said Scott.

its a step in the right direction but $2 million is pocket change to them....



for some reason i think it wont affect gas prices at all though
