It's an impresive car but it's 3 years too late. The e60 M5 came out in 2005.

Too late?

It out-accelerates it easily, and better yet, just ran a sub 8 second Nurburing time, which I believe is faster than the M5, actually, it may even be a record for a 4-door saloon car. The domestics are manufacturing cars which are even beating the Germans in their own game.

It beats it to 60 by 3 tenths and beats it down the 1/4 mile by 4 tenths. I think the ring lap times are something like 7:59 vs 8:13
Like I said it's an impressive car.
I'm just glad that bmw doesn't make 6.2L supercharged v8's they choose to do it with 5L v10s . Maybe if we raced it against an M5 with Dinan's 5.7L stroker kit
