How much for 1995 m3?

Iv got a good buddy who brought up his m3 from cali two years back, its been sitting in his driveway ever since as he purchased a g35.
The engine is pretty much gone, i think its running on on about 5 cylinders and its got over 250,oookm
Because its from cali she doesnt have any serious rust just old paint..so basically the car needs some serious love.
Knowing all this what do you think i should offer him for it being fair to both of us?

Ya, 2-3g's sounds pretty good for just a non running 95. But i don't think you'll be able to register a 95, unless it's already been registed in Canada!

The '95 M3 (and only that year) is on the RIV inadmissible vehicles list. This essentially means you cannot register it in Canada for use on public roads. Would be fine for track use, though.

for an non running m3 in canada i'd say around 6. i mean u can part the vaders/bumpers/skirts/mirrors alone for close to 2 grand.

Not even mentioning the brakes/suspension etc.

97+ m3's in canada run from 16-20 grand here.

i know its been plated in canada but im sure he said it was a 95 perhaps a 96 then.
it doesnt have vaders, and i dont think the suspension would be worth much just with the km and age....but i only really want it for a streetable track car so allot of stuff is going to be replaced anyways.
so basically you guys are saying from 2-4 thousand....

well it also has a zf tranny and a healthy motor motor sells for around 3-5 grand. so you do the math.

if u got it for 6 ur still getting an awesome deal either way. btw is it 2 or 4 door?

Trannys healthy, engine has seen much better days.

2-3 g's the most, since the motor is toast and will need to be rebuilt and that can be pricey. Also, if its been sitting for a long time, its gonna need rotors, brakes, tires, suspension etc. Even though the body is in great shape, still gonna cost quite a bit to get it running right. Trust me I am going through it now. Last year I bought a 97 M3, everything working, little rough and needed wheels and was a rebuilt title for $6k. I thought I got a kick ass deal, but its been tougher than I thought and more money than I planned.

If the engine is shot, and if it IS your buddy, so he's not looking to cash out on you, and your not lookin to rip him off then 2-3g's sounds about right. It's probably a LUX. M3 whcih would explain why it didn't have vaders.
