E46 rear end vibating

Hi, I have a 2001 325i sedan. It has been vibrating in the rear and has at times been pretty intense. It does not vibrate all the time, it comes and goes. Any one have any idea or suggestions?

I think i just figured it out. I removed the drivers rear tire and the coil spring is broken. I would like to replace this with something that lowers the car a little, nothing to dramatic. Any ideas for a good match for a non sport package. and anyone know who and how much to swap out the four springs? I'm also looking to get all barkes done as well if anyone knows a good place for parts and/or install.I'm located in Milton, On. Thanks
