Finally got the car to start. Battery was almost dead again, but fired on first shot.
The thing sounds like a rally car because it backfires all the time It can't be very good for it, but theres not much I can do right now. And it runs on 5 cylinders. Probably got to change the distributor cap/rotor/wires, not to mention plugs, injectors cleaned, etc.
But at least it runs, right?

yup, i say fix it up. not many e12's around. But then again I AM a fan of classic Bimmers (not like many people here). So go for it, it should cost tooooo much to fix it, but then again when i said that last time for my car, i ended up spending a G in repairs.....O well
