lock nut removal

hey, i got a 97 m3 and i lost the key to remove the lock nuts on the wheels. does anyone know where i can get a new one?

certian mechanics can take it off without the key. Mine did.

get a socket that is slightly smaller than the locknut then get a sledge hammer or even a regular hammer and knock the socket on hard. then proceed to remove

on a side note...make sure it's a socket u dun mind losing cuz there's a good chance u won't be able to remove the socket from the lock nut

^^^Does not work on OEM bmw locks...only afermarket ones...

just go to dealer.he will come out with you with their full set.. determine what you need..and order it for you..
a lot easier than wasting time removing them..and wasting money by destroying them

make friends with your parts manager. Phil @ maranello took my car in, removed the old ones for free, and sold me a new set.

canadian tire has a lock nut removal tool. they usually dont stock it, but they can order it for you. i think its like 14$
