That car has too much power and can't hook shit. Why would he swap out the 2jz? If he would have stuck with that and built it proper, he could eat that V8 setup.

Its way cheaper to build a chev v8 than a toyota v6.

But I agree, if your building a car with those specs, why cheap out? Doesnt make sence to me.

OH NO! you said v6!!!!! lol it's an inline 6. My buddies MK4 supra is pretty built up and it didn't cost him alot of money to build up (yes he did everything properly).

Either way, why get a supra if you're gonna transplant a v8 turbo. I would much rather get an rx-7 shell and do that (much lighter car).

Turbo 3 rotor at 14k rpm!! I don't have the video clip but I have the memory etched in my head from when we were at the dyno.

I'd say a V8 would have more potential than i6. Yes those supra engines are crazy, but a huge engine with a huge turbo, nothing can touch that.

Mostly what you hear here is a tranny though.

Thats not the tranny, its a 3 rotor periphial port NON turbo, meaning redline is well over 10k. What you are hearing is mostly engine.

I know this because my friend has a similar set up in an FD (3 rotor, agressive p/p, non turbo, 450hp, 2.5carb) it sounds the exact same and when your in the car you cant hear ANYTHING over the engine/exhaust.
