I wait till the light comes on, then I fill it to anywhere between $40-60, don't normally fill the tank completely unless I'm going on a road trip, so none of your options really apply to me.

none of your options matches my gas fill frequency. but i usually keep it above the 20 mark. if anytime it reaches 20, i just put 20 -30$ of gas. so its never completely full, not completely empty.
but man, there was that one time when my orange light was constantly on.
i voted, 'Never let it go less then half empty, then fill it up.' because its the closest thing that matches my style

I put in $50 this morning after a wash, drove it all of the day and now i'm on "Fuel Reserve"
Back to Sunoco tomorrow morning for another $50. If gas dips I'll fill her up which is around $100+ regardless.

i wait till the orange light comes on, and i reset the trip counter then go fill up 40 litres. then when the orange light come on again, i get an idea of how many kilometers per litre i'm getting. then reset again etc.
i always fill up in liters, no matter what cost it is, easier to remember how much actual liters u put in.
should fix that obc lol.

Usually fill from empty. $100 and then the pump shuts off. Too lazy to do a 2nd transaction. Getting about 600K+ from 85ltr.

I chose the first option, but I don't always take not of the milage.
I just do that every couple months to make sure my gas milage hasn't gone to shit (due to somethign being wrong with the car), not every fill up. It varies way too little for me to judge my gas milage much.
I don't understand the people who fill it 10-20 bucks though.. I have some friends that do this and I always ask them wtf they do that for. I mean whats the point of going to the pump every 2 days to put in 10 bucks, it's a big waste of time. Might as well just fill up once a week.....you're gonna have to spend the money anyways.
(There are obvoiusly excpetions such as if you have a HUGE tank and/or you drive VERY little so the $10-20 lasts a week, but I'm talking about a normal situation here)

^ Exactly! It's not like the prices are coming down to save you a buck the next day. It's the summer,r and they'll probably be going UP so fill up while you can!

When you live downtown, 30 Bucks of Gas lasts a week.
