Do you mean turbo or supercharged? 335i has 2 turbos.

its pointless, the complexity does not outweigh any benefits in my opinion. Packaging is already hard enough as is in these cars, if you want superresponsive you can get this with a single properly sized turbo or a twin screw. Its not worth persuing. Get a TRM stage 1 and that car will be responsive as hell man.

Yes it's been done... There is a video out there somewhere of a white E36 M3 that is twincharged (one S/C and one turbo)...

Twin charging is way better as you can have no lag and loads of power.
My brother has an S14 twin charged that he is working on right now.
Best examples with twincharged cars are the Lancia S4 and Nissan Micra.
But here are a few videos to give you an idea!
Twincharged 350Z:

Twincharged S15 with stock SR20:

Lancia S4:

Same but from inside:

Notice the instant power the engine has!

And here is an e36 twincharged:

And the second part:

no shit!

I didnt say I didnt know what twin turbos is .. I said whats the point if 1 can do the job .. how much power do you really need before losing it in traction. twins is pointless unless your really into racing. Yes no turbo lag if you have 2 but you could also go with a smaller turbo and spool sooner as well.

Well depends on the person. e.g:What is enough power for you is not nessecary enough for me!
And even if you used a smaller turbo you would still have some lag as to depending on the supercharger there would be no lag at all.
And i did not mean to insult you i was just telling you what the reason of the combination is. And yes it is extreme but look at the new golf that is using the same system. A 1.4 drives like a 2lt and thats with no mods.
The biggest advantages are the extreme tractability and low end response that the supercharger provides, as well as the massive top end airflow that only a suitably large sized turbocharger can give. you get the advantages of both, without the disadvantages of either.
Also as for traction if you have a steady torque range traction would be better than a bad turbo range where you wait and then get hit with a gazilion Nm.
At the end of the day its a mater of personal preference. But keep in mind that the Lancia S4 is still considered the most powerful Group B car to date!
And the fastest although it caused the ban of Group B!

And here is a nice BMW with a twincharge system:

Just go with a BB turbo and all of your spool problems are solved.

Cheaper and less complicated too... Turbo technology has come a long way.

Twincharging might make sense for OEMs (kinda), but as far as I know even VW no longer makes/sells the 1.4TSI as twincharged anymore. Now it's only turbo.
