Do you know if it's got an LSD?

Yea it has a LSD.. Oh believe me I found out if it did. I went on a empty street and did a nice dump. It left two nice bacon strips lol.
Yea the girl was super hot actually.
I'm not going to do a swap for a while, i'm going to keep the m42 in it for now, just throw headers, intake and chip on it.
As for suspension i'm going balls out, all poly bushings, camber plates, h&R races you name it, it's getting it. I got two new jobs this summer so that should fund it nice. It doesn't need too much work, it will pass safety as it sits now, just needs new brake rotors.
I'm definitely pumped for this. I'm going to put it in my name and tear into the sucker soon and git er done.
One problem that has me boggled, when the low beams are on, only the right light is on, but when the high beams are on all 4 of them turn on.
Stay tuned suckas.
The beater e is still coming to the meet, I got new tires today for the wheels, i'm going to go mount them in like a half hour.
Sam

Do i have to dumb it down a bit? I KNOW why they used it for RACING, i dont understand why they had to use it on the road version, OTHER then the limited # needed for homologation! Is that clear...
As to the "glorified" and having a "title"...i like to know what mine is? Not sure...It is my personal opinion that i dont like the S14, as much as i love M3...But i guess i have to follow the crowd, and go with everybodys opinion to be like the cool boys...

obviously someone is misunderstanding and taking s14 as the e30 m3 motor instead of nissan 240sx S14.

And someone is missunderstanding my first statment and only focused on the "I dont know" parts, and was quick to say "LOOK, fil doesnt know!!!!"...
I fully understand the purpose, and the reasons behind it, i just dont like (or agree with it), and this is IMO, not saying i'm right...
One more thing people are missing is that i am talking about the M3 as a street car, as not everybody spends all the time on a track...

I still can't believe this girl actually sold her car for $300 because she lost her license! Is she never going to drive again?

[quote=Eurostyle;1135256] i dont understand why they had to use it on the road version, OTHER then the limited # needed for homologation! Is that clear...QUOTE]
Because the original M3 wasn't conceived as the tarted up 3 series for men with big wallets and short boners that the later ones were.
Early M cars were essentially road cars with racing engines. All were very low production. The M3 was built as a homogolation special and that's all.
The E30 M3 has basically an M10 block with a head design adapted from the 6cyl in the M5/M6 (and before that M1).
...and they didn't have a better 6 at the time. The 2.5l six had 168hp vs the s14's 210hp in euro tune. The 3.5l six had only 10hp more but was heavy and unbalanced the car. The M5/M6 motor had more hp but was a shoehorn fit and again too heavy. The M50 motor was 5 years away and the S50/S52 nearly a decade. (And the M50 still had less hp.)
What makes the M3 great is its balance. The S14 won't beat any 16 year olds in their camaros away from a stop light, but it kicks ass on twisty roads and that is the point.

To me the S14 makes the E30 M3 special. It sounds amazing, it was a light weight advanced motor making very good HP/L for it's day.
Can't beat the sound

Awesome clip. Sounds like a 2.5 conversion. A little deeper tone than the 2.3can get to, but could be the racing exhaust.
I wish we had someplace to run hill climbs here in the flat lands. The only one I know of is a whopping 1/3 of a mile long and they actually use chicanes to simulate curves because the road is pretty much straight. Something like tat would be awesome.
Did we highjack that poor guy's thread?
Awesome find by the way. I keep hoping to stumble across a bargain e21 or e30 to do a cheap build for a salt falt run. I figure the 150mph class is attainable on a budget with an m42 equipped 3 series. You scored a nice one.

You seem like a knowledgeable guy. I agree with all your posts, except for that comment. Whether it be a 2.3, or 2.5, you won't hear the difference with that noisy airbox/intake sound. Same goes for exhaust. A cam(for example, motor-wise) would make more influence on sound than an extra 200cc.

Thats a decent clip too.
