Autocross Series

So most people here are probably more into track events, but figured I would ask anyway... is anyone doing any of the autocross series this year?

Regional, Trillium, HADA, PITL, TLMC, other?

I'll be attending the Trillium this year given that I have time. I won't be trying the other clubs till probably next year.

I would like to finally get out and do some this year, at whichever sanction is the best for a beginner.

But I will probably just go to whichever is the most popular on here so I can hang out and talk shit after I take out a whole course of cones.

Dave the Trillium is great for beginners because everyone is pretty laid back and most importantly...no helmets are required.

Cool, are classes based on mods or skill? Also you pay per event right? There isn't a season long commitment I have to make?

By mods.

I jumped right into the Regional series my first year autocrossing and that was a lot of fun. (Also a lot of driving to events). If you have done fewer than 3 autocross events before starting the regionals, you can compete for points in the novice championship.

You pay per event, but the 1yr membership in the club (required) is $57. Event price is $15/ea.

Just FYI to those going to the BMWCC Trillium Chapter Autocross this Sunday, it seems like they increased the price to $20 (as per website), so heads up to those who are used to paying $15.

Hopefully it won't be a large turnout, waiting sucks now that I won't be filming anymore
