want to stroke my e30 318i

was wondering what my best bet would be, a crank from a 2002 or an early 320i? i was told that the only real difference would be the 320i would have a newer crank. any suggestions or leads on a crank? i want to stroke it to 2.0l and then turbo. hope you guys can help.
cheers!

1.8l vs. 2.0l will not make any significant difference.
Rebuild 1.8l and then go turbo, but the cost will be similar to rebuilding m20.
Question is turbo 4 cyl vs. regular 6 cyl ?
If you have more than one m10 then go ahead and work on the m10, otherwise sell m10 to 2002 guy and buy m20 or better.

turbo

i have the 84 318i along with a second m10, i also have an 89 325i which is awaiting bodywork. so, the 2.0 build is a waste? just wondering about getting the forged internals in there? hey if the forged crank and 2l build doesnt need to be done, i will just rebuild the m10 as is. let me know please, cant waste time or money here. thanks for the reply zorin.
thanks

Concentrate building the m20 and just get stock m10 running for now.
Find another m20 and replace the m10 with it. 2.0l m10 is not worth the trouble and money you will spend.

I would consider an M42 swap if you plan on going turbo.
