fix up the E36 or ??????????

i have a totally stock 97 E36 328is....approx 183k on it....

do i fix it up (lower it, wheels, M3 body kit, paint etc)....or sell it and get E46 (which would probably cost me a little more than the cost of what i plan for the E36 ?)...

i would go for an e46, cause when all is said and done ur gonna invest a lot into the e36 might as well get a newer vehicle and once the money starts coming in, invest into it.

although our cars are NEVER a good investment

180KM is nothing. there are cars out here that still make good power with 250KM on the clock.

Since you posted this in the E36 Section, I would say keep the E36 (biased)
But I'm sure if you posted the same thread in the E46 section, those guys would tell you upgrade to the E46

Not true Alvin, I'll say E46 in your E36 forum

If you're going to drive it daily, I'd go for the E46, I think you'll enjoy it more. It's more refined, newer, should hopefully have less km's.

Good luck however you decide.

I had an E46 M52 coupe, I went back. It's a girl's car and the roofline is cavernous, reminiscent of the new VW Bug.

i say keep the e36..
i love e36 body, i would much rather have e36 than e46, just my preference
personally i think cars are getting too stupid looking, the newest m3 is nice and all...but doesn't compare to the classic MINT looking styles, the e36 and e30s are my favourite bodies
whichever one you like more, grab that, but keep in mind that you can do a lot of mods to e36 for price for stock e46
