Out with the old.. In with the new!

Yeah yeah... just changing shift knobs. I didn't change cars - YET!

While I loved the Illuminated M shift knob, I felt it was just far too light and combined with the UUC SSK, shifting was a bit too notchy for my tastes. So, I found a local UUC RK6 shift knob with the leather wrap option and just had to have it!

I'd say this one looks better too! Updates the interior somewhat with the brushed silver accents. As for shifting, it DEFINITELY reduces the shifting effort. It is much easier to row through the gates now, I find it much, much more comfortable while still being a wee bit notchy just to keep that performance feel. This is the perfect setup IMO!

BEFORE:

So pretty, but so light

AFTER:

The behemoth - this shift knob weighs a TON. It'll easily break windows if thrown around. This is one heavy mother!

And here's a crappy pic of my car for good measure

I know the pics are terrible. I can't wait to do a proper shoot once I get my CSLs back on.

And yes, the OEM Illuminated shift knob is for sale. It is flawless and practically brand new except for the 3-4 days I used it PM me if you seriously want it.

You tap into the cigarette lighter's power and ground wires with wire taps. Or you can get the OEM wiring kit which plugs into the back of your headlight switch. Bit more work involved with the latter.

The new shift knob is the UUC RK6-L as stated in my OP

I like what you've done. The original knob you had in your car, I know what you mean. I still love it though!

Ah crap, sorry to hear that. I was looking forward to seeing those on your ride. The CSL's still looks pretty sweet though. Anyway, shift knob looks good but that boot is just

Chris, check it out in person and you will probably change your mind!

While the previous M knob was pretty, it wasn't cutting it for my needs. IMO this one looks better too. Trust me, see it IRL and you will retract that statement
