Installing wheels: Torque wrench pressure

Hi!

Could someone please tell me what is the recommended bolt pressure to set on a torque wrench when installing my wheels? Anything I should do or not do when doing this?

I just bought used style 68 wheels and can't wait to try them on on a 325i 03.

E46 service manual says 74lb-ft +/- 7lb-ft. That said, I still use ~85lb-ft on all the cars here (E30/E36/E46).

Thanks so much. Since the style 68 17 inch are bigger than my stock rims and wider, please let me know if using 85lb-ft would be better. ???

it's not wheel size that determines wheel torque, it's the diameter size of the wheel bolt or nut.
