Locking the car

Dealing with a 98M3:

Sometimes my remote to lock the car works... sometimes it doesnt. The battery is good - the light always comes on. Most of the time the lock/unlock doesn't work... but the Panic (hold lock down) ALWAYS works - even if the lock/unlock doesn't work.

When the remote is working, it will work for as long as I don't turn the car on.

Any ideas?

It might be the contact under your hood. I had this same problem.
To fix it, just bend the spring tab a bit higher

Which tab? The one near the window washer reservoir?

BMW remotes do not work near the CN Tower.
