my friend is going to try the same thing for a 49km/h over speeding ticket, and change the court date once or twice to make sure he doesn't come.

The best thing that you can do (aside from going to court) is going to the justice of peace and say your broke, you'll still get the points, but won't have to pay the full amount, or get a huge extension on when the fine should be paid (or both)

49over in a 50??? I got one 50+ in a 90... and reduced to 3 pts and 150bux a year and a half ago... I should have went to the court by myself instead of using a so-called ticket fighter...

u know when i was in the court room there was 2 cops sitting there waiting for their VICTIMs... they look so mean to me.. so a lot of people took their last chance to plea guilty and paid right the way!!! I wasn't scared cos i remember the one who charged me, honestly that was a funny chubby cops.. hahaha~ so I guessed he wouldn't show up anyways.

49 over in an 80. (well, technically 62 over before the cop reduced it).

Now that I think of it, another friend of mine (while back) got a speeding ticket, 40 over but the cop lowered it to 29 over, and he took it to court. He told the judge that he was really doing 40 over (i know i know, stupid) and the cop lied on the ticket. The officer agreed and the ticket was dismissed.

You can also try going to french night court ( if you can speak the language) almost guaranteed that the police officer will not show up. I know a few friends that this has worked for.

DAMN, i don't know what it feels like when the cop doesn't show up, cause when i went to fight my case, there were like 30 people that got DISMISSED cases, and i had the ONLY cop that actually showed up!!
, it sucked for me too, cause the JUDGE was some bitch that was PMSin so she started YELLIN at me, then the COP started givin me attitude!!
so, NEEDLESS to say, i lost THAT one!
