Consumer Reports - all seasons

Does anyone happen to know how Consumer Reports ranks Grand Touring all season tires ? All I have seen is their Ultra High Performance ratings, and I just want a touring tire for a smooth comfy ride.

I have read what's on Tire Rack website, but I want to see what Consumer Reports says ...... where its the same and where its different.

I find that most of these reports are b.s, there are far too many variables to determine what's best for all cars. Best bet is to ask someone with the same car is yours and similar driving style/comute. Treadwear ratings can serve as a good starting point too. Whe in doubt I go with Toyo, yet to let me down on any car.

Best for all weather conditions:
Michelin X Radial
Michelin HydroEdge
The Michelin X Radial DT is a very good all-around performer, but is only available from shopping clubs. The Michelin HydroEdge performs capably but is noisier, with mediocre hydroplaning resistance.

If icy roads aren't a factor:
Goodyear Assurance TripleTred
Hankook Mileage Plus II H725
Yokohama Avid TRZ
These tires do well in everything except braking on ice. The Goodyear Assurance TripleTred's ride is very quiet.

If long tread life is important:
Yokohama Avid TRZ
Michelin HydroEdge
Dayton Grenadier PLE
Bridgestone Turanza LS-T
The Dayton Grenadier PLE and Bridgestone Turanza LS-T offer excellent tread life and good performance. The Yokohama Avid TRZ and Michelin HydroEdge are better performers with very good tread life.

I got my parents and my sisters on the Goodyear TripleTreds the last several years. They are great all purpose family car tires.
