Unidentified cable in glove box?

Hi,
Was giving the car a proper clean inside and out when I found this cable coming through the rear of the glove box. I bought the car used so have no idea what it's for.

Does anyone have any ideas? Loonie is for scale

Have you tried pulling it? Maybe it's just a cable that was stored in the glovebox by the previous owner, and managed to slip through a crack.

Surf board maybe?

That’s defiantly a strange looking cable though.

hi im new to the forums,
my friend has a benz (W203), and he has a similar cable running through his glove box, which connects to a flip down screen he's mounted right by the sunroof.
He uses a cable that looks like that, he connects the wire in his glove box to a portable dvd player, which is also connected to his auxin. so he can play music videos and it'll play the video on the screen and the music through the speakers.
