I think you're talking about a radar jammer.....which are also illegal. I radar detector let you know what there is a radar around out, a jammer block/messes up incoming radar signals

Jammers suck lol. The active ones are FAA illegal here in the US while the passive ones just plain don't work.

Ever seen those ads in the back of a magazine where they say that if you get a ticket while using the jammer, they'll pay the ticket? They also say you have to be going no more than 15 over the limit. Know why?

It's because they have an INSURANCE policy. If you get a ticket doing less than 15 over, their insurance pays for it. It's not like the jammer works or anything. They just have an insurance policy.

Talk about some gayass bullshit.

The V1 company does not operate with group buys. I remember on a lot of instances, where people on DTMpower would try to do a group buy and the V1 company wasnt having it, dont know why?!?!!? In any case, I can order it to my families house in the states for myself, when I get the cash.

Or everyone can order it to my families house, and throw in an extra $20 bucks for me from each person who orders and that way mine is free, and all of you aviod customs taxes, sound good?

And if you get stopped at customs we don't know you, but expect a refund.

No thats not my problem, see because, you guys would come over the border in niagara falls, and then cross over the border again at your own risk. Same way I would do with my own radar detector. But you save money that way, and no one will know. Just when you bring it over shove it down your pants, they only search your car, not you.

Good thinking
and there are plenty of places to hide things in cars.

Honestly if 20-30 people on this board bought a radar detector and threw in an extra $20 bucks canadian, for me, I would end up getting mine for free, and then you could order the radar detector to my families house, and I would meet you guys over the border at a certain time, bring all the detectors and everyone can go on their merry way. You guys get a detector, minus the customs charges/legality of it, and I get a free detector. Sounds good to me

yeah, only if they have reason to do so, like if you have cocine powder under your nose, shotgun shells on the passengers seat, or a kicking noise coming from the trunk.

Just to let you know VG-2 is the stealth modes that prevents Radar detector dectors catching you.
Oh yeah, my friedn got busted in his stealth, he had a shitty detector and it was a 110$ fine and he took it away. That is why you get a crappy one off ebay and have a good one and if you get pulled over, just give him the crappy one. They will search your car if they think you have one.

your best bet of finding a detector is going on www.ebay.ca and finding somebody within canada who has one for sale.
that's how i got my uniden lrd 957. it's a great inexpensive detector (bought it for $80 cdn off ebay).
Sure it has the odd false alarm, but it's really good at picking up unmarked polics cars and the usual cruisers as well
it also picks up laser, as i've gotten hit with that quite a number of times heh

Some guy walked into my workplace the other day - he was an American who didn't know radar detectors were illegal.

He got hit with a $170 fine.

(He wanted me to make a receipt for it so he could write it off as a business expense!)

Talking Need to find a beer store?

I've got a Bel980, hardwired it into the battery with a fuse in-between. Works great... if your ever in a town that you are not familier with and you just HAVE to have a beer; turn it on and beep!

Living in the center of downtown Toronto, its a little difficult to use it. Waaay to many falses. But I use it on some of the sidestreets.
