Advice on a nice beginner digital camera.

I got this crappy $100 digital camera right now, but I want to get something better. I'm looking for one with good zoom, storage, picture quality and like 1 minute + of video on it.

Any suggestions?

Unc: I'd shot for a 5 mega pixel cam if at all possible. I was never impressed with the lower resolution digital cameras. I've used Canon Film Camera's for decades without a single complaint. I've recently gone with a Canon Digi

i suggest a canon A70 (3.2MP) for that price than.

i only read good reviews about it and i was gonna buy it myself but in the end im gonna go for the A80.

futureshop has it always for $450 http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/pro...=&newdeptid=14 if ur lucky every now and then they have it on sale and u might be able to pricematch it with staples.

they also have every now and then a refurbished camera sale for $300 but still with a one year warranty on it http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/pro...=&newdeptid=14 but these sell out so quickly u would be real lucky to find them online in stock

for $400-$600 I would definately recommend u go with the S400, simply because the A series cameras don't come with a rechargeable battery. The S cameras are very good, not only good camera's, but the quality is solid. I was testing one out for my friend, and the camera is compact, but not to the extent that its uncomfortable to hold. Plus, its 4MP. Great all around camera.
