Trade:3.15LSD for 3.91LSD

I have a 3.15 LSD with around 90km on it. I want a 3.91 LSD...

What advantage do you see in the 3.91 over a 3.15 at the expense of higher-revs at cruising speed? I want an LSD but not sure which ratio is the best to go with for what I want (which is better acceleration and tossability without any added impracticality for a daily driver ie. higher cruising revs).

I always wanted to get a 3.91 for kicks, I don't mind the slightly higher rpms.
I spend most of my time in 1st,2nd and 3rd. Always nice to have a little more umph in those gears.

Ideally thou I would want 3.64 diff if I find one cheap

best ratio

depends what application/mods you have but 3.46 is generally the best ratio! If anyone has a 3.46 LSD for sale msg me my car is now boosted and ready to hit the track once I get a LSD

fil, the tranny ratios are different on e30 and e36, member?

p.s. 3.38 is the right final drive gearing for a 5spd e36.

Yes they are...But has nothing to do with the final drive...A big jump is a big jump...on a E30, E36 or an M5!
