I checked the insurance $180 a month. Not that bad. I asked 318is and it was $160

Do all e36 328is come with the sunroof?

Does e36 328is has limited slip differential by default?

I bought mine private for $11200. It's the same year and mileage. It had a bit of damage on the rear spoiler. It also has the sport package. I would try to go $1000-$2000 lower.

328is had traction control, no lsd.

No sport package right?

Seats dont look like sport seats, neither does the steering wheel, but im no e36 expert.
Lack of sport package makes me say no, unless u plan on changing those.
If it is a mint one owner, then it might be worth buying and finding sport seats and a better steering wheel

Thanks for the responses so far. I guess I am still in the e30 mode so when a car is an "is" I am automatically thinking that will come with all the goodies like the sport package. I will be more selective from now on. e36 newbie here

I checked the blackbook and the range I got is:

Quote:
Based on the kilometers entered
and the options selected, your vehicle's classification
is appraised as: Below Average.
Depending on your vehicle's condition, the value may be appraised within the High and Low range. * less Reconditioning Costs
Low: $7,190.00 High: $8,915.00
Current KM Reading 170 000km
Price Includes Air Conditioning

Yeah mine came with the lower suspension, spoiler, ///M shifter and steering wheel. I don't know what are the other features that come with the 328IS Sport Package.

Johnoz, is the car you're talking about the same as the pic you posted? If so, I don't think that's a 97. The one in the pic is most likely a 96.

The fact that it is one owner does help with the value of the car!

I'd still try to knock the price down a bit more, but if its from a dealer, GOOD LUCK, those guys are tighter than a fishes asshole (and thats water tight)!

Some 96's have LSD and ASC

Spoiler is not part of sport package, it's an option. You also get a sport seat, and 16" sport wheels (16" sport spare wheel as well). The suspension is lower by 0.59", very slightly stiffer springs and struts. The sway bars are also lightly thicker.

Well that rate is one way only.
Don't get me started on full insurance coverage. If I had that low rate for full insurance I would be driving a brand new Mustang GT or something Anyjow.

This ad above was a private sale and seller is appereantly selling on behalf of his sister(didn't buy that sounded like a curbsider).

I think I will still need to make a bit more research/education on e36 before pursuing on buying one.
