My DS car running in STX took a big hit. I think I'd be better off removing coilovers to go back to DS with R-Comps on.
Where's a good place to get R-Comps in the GTA?
....not that I'd be able to keep up with the Miata's anyhow

you kept up just fine when your tires weren't 2 years old
street and ST classes are minimum 200tw as of this year though unfortunately

Yea, I've worn out there soft rubber and I'm down to the much harder layer. Driving to autox in the rain with no tread was certainly exciting! Need to get off my ass and buy some new tires... In the middle of looking at new houses though 
The good news is that all of the tour makers adjusted their compounds to 200 tread wear.
