Unhappy Power Door Lock Problem

Hello Everyone!

I'm a new member on the site and a proud new owner of a 1999 BMW 323i. I do how every have a problem.

The dealer I got the car from is a personal friend of mine and is working with me to figure out and fix the problem, but's it's a little baffling to us right now.

In the extreme heat (25 degree C plus days) the cabin heats up extensively during the afternoon while I'm in my office. At the end of the day I come out and the power door lock system will not function. I can hear a little click when I push the key fob button, but no action. When I use the key to open the door, the electronic system doesn't engage and my key actually pushes up the lock. Once I open the doors and air out the car a bit the locks will start to work again. The key fob batteries are fine, I even try opening from the centre console with no luck.

I'm hoping some one has some ideas or has had a similar problem and can help me out.
