Impossible

Simply not possible. I once raced an E36 325is with two people in it in my EK hatch (stock D16) and beat him by a car length. There was no way it was even a B series let alone an H22.

Let's put things into perspective. A 1999-2000 SiR with the B16A weighed 2600 lbs, and would still run from 0-60 in 7.2 seconds. Swapping a B16 into an EK hatch should yield at least as fast a car, if not faster, since it weighs 200 lbs less.

A stock E36 318i does 0-60 in 9 seconds. The fastest time I can ever remember seeing for the 200 lb lighter 318ti was 7.9 sec.

If he had an H22 we would have smoked you, and would probably even give an M3 a run for its money, as both cars are around 12.5 lbs/hp.

you guys are missing the point, its not a 318 im pretty sure its a m52... with that said a h22 should still be able to pull a 328 unless your car has other mods done.

guys don't forget not every 325 or 330 pulls the same it depends on a lot of things especially the driver. but there is no way a 318 smoked a h22 in a bubble back. unless he started on 2nd gear and he missed 3rd . i think a h22 in a bubble should run high 13 or low 14. and with couple of bolt ons , proper traction should run low 13 in a 1/4 mile.

^ i must disagree with you on that. i was racing a bubble back 22 at cayuga and beat it hands down everytime in the quarter. heck i have the video of me punishing a srt4.. all with the 540 of course

And I forgot to add the moral to my point 1 post up. The best time I could get was 14.7 down the quarter

in my Stock 92 8 valve jetta.. i lined up with this one truck,

"you wanna Run?" the guy says..

i nod my head..

and then he had me for a bit it was close... and then when my automatic transmission shifted into the 3rd and final gear. i pulled on that 18 Wheeler SOOOOOO HARD!!!

he said if he wasnt pulling 32,000lbs he woulda taken me.. but thats just complete bullshit.

so i find it HARD to beleive that your 318 can keep up with a 330...

It definately was not a stock d series. I have had a few civics in my day and I know the sound with and without intake...that was no d series. And there has to be another factor in there I agree.

Yeah but my 318 isn't stock...

Ok lets play

I have raced 330's on the hwy and we are neck and neck. We should play too

Haha very true!

Guys I don't think my car is the fastest in the world and as I stated in my first post I thought I was gonna get pwned! Theres gotta be something more to it. I plan to stop by woodbridge sometime to see what the real story is under his hood. I can for certain say it was not a d series or B16(by the sound). Who knows...if we had more road to play with he was gonna blow by me like I was standing still...was still fun tho
What do you have done to your 318??? Since your calling it a 318 still, I'm assuming there hasn't been an engine swap. So your either running next to nothing or a supercharger...either way there is no way you can keep up to to a 330..... the numbers just don't add up...sorry.
