Talking I'm back!!!

Well I have been out of the BMW scene for over 10 years and I bought myself a 1997 328i. She is a basket case so the price was cheap.

My plans are to strip it down for track/autocross only. It has minor rust (going to do the rattle can flat black paint job), suspension issues (coilover upgrade), automatic (going to swap to manual), brakes are digusting (ss braided brake lines, upgrade calipers, rotors and pads) and a bunch of electrial gremlins.

WTF is that! Oh I love the anti-BMW look! Well the extra stuff hanging off the front is a little much. Oh the stupid crazy ideas are rolling in.

Thanx!

It will probably be next year before I get this hot mess of a car torn down and ready for track/autocross. I plan on doing most of the work by myself. I always wanted to do something like this.

Cheaper now, market died out 6+ months ago, sub $30k USD for a sweet clean rust free one under 200km just sayin. I noticed they maxed out a year ago and have been falling a bit.

Check bringatrailer from time to time and see.

Thanks but no thanks. LOL!

I already bought an E36 328i for the track only and on a budget of under $6000 (with the cost of the car). I'm doing the most of the work myself to keep it on budget and also to keep myself busy. I have been very lucky with kijiji this week. Bought a set of 17"X7.5" M Contours for $250 (i'm going to refinish them) and a Rieger Infinity Front Lip & eyebrows for $75.

The best work you did this week was sourcing wheel bolts
