E30 Feeler: 1991 318i

Really fun times with this car but I'm thinking it's time to move on

Pretty clean E30. Any mechanic I have taken it to has been very impressed with the overall condition. The bottom of car is in excellent shape. There is 220km on the odometer but the engine was swapped at Simply Cars with a '95 318i engine in summer of '11 and it has about 13k less than odometer (so about 203k on it, to be clear). Clutch replaced at time of swap and flywheel was resurfaced. Euro grills and blacked out kidney. Fogs are attached but not hooked up (need relay/switch). New upgraded stereo with USB input. Front seats have usual rips but covers solve that nicely. New (used) blower motor installed but the A/C needs a boost.

Comes with a roof rack (will add pic w/ roof rack shortly)!

The bad (full disclosure):

-Driver side lower control arm needs replacement SOON.
-Passenger door rusted out and should be replaced.
-Some rust spots on car (common). Gas cover should be replaced.
-Gas tank has leak on top. Doesn't impact performance but you definitely don't want to fill the tank up to the top.
-Has small oil leak originating from filter adapter. I'm told this is a $15 part and and a bit of labour so if you can do it yourself, not a big deal. Or if you don't mind a bit of oil on your driveway (my landlord does) there is no urgency to fix.
-Catalytic converter is off. Drives fine without but you will need it fixed for next E-test. It passed emissions last summer so it's good for another year and change I believe. (would recommend addressing this sooner)

Charging issue:
The alternator is having trouble kicking in. The engine needs to be revved at start up to get the charge going. This is a brand new issue and the car is currently parked and not being driven. The Alternator was just replaced with a good used one and so was the starter. The voltage regular is brand new. I am likely going to troubleshoot and fix issue in the next few weeks but would be willing to let car go sooner at a discount if you want to tackle that yourself.

If I can think of anything to add I will post below.

If you are interested in seeing the car, serious inquiries only please. I'm not in a rush to sell but would if the right offer was presented.

$1500 O.B.O.
