LOL... Goldenrod's brothers sisters mother said that his cousin was setting something up...

I have some work left to do on the car. Seems that way every year.

Actually right now she is kinda road warrior looking on the left rear fender, I managed to cut all the rusted metal out (inner and outer fender) and I've welded all new metal in (shaped by hand of course). It actually looks cool! I'll be finishing the welding this week, apply 2 coats of POR15, seam sealer on the back and inner portions, then I'll tidy her up.

Can't wait, soon it will be totally rust free and solid. You gotta consider that my car is an all-year driver and to have an all year driven totally rust free car is a good feeling. I really dig the method I'm using, last years rocker replacement is still rust free so I feel it's safe until I stop driving it as a daily.

What fun is driving a safe e30?!! You're supposed to have rust holes in the floor, no parking brake cables, wipers that hardly ever work, bald tires, no horn, muffler held on with zip ties, seized calipers, no blower for defrosting, and tail-lights that only work when you hit the lense with your fist.

Anyways, look for something in the fall. Everyone, put your cars back together! (Including myself)

Maybe we can do a duplicate cruise as bimmercruise, or a nice run up Hwy 11 to Cooper Falls Road and into Minden and back?

Oh well I meant safe vs. rust. With the bumper about 1/2 a foot lower than the average vehicle on the road I know it's not safe. That fact doesn't really bother me at all.

I don't even think of it when I'm head-on with a 20 ton logging truck at a closing speed of 250 kph; and as we pass I have about 6 - 10" separating us, and at that moment I hit a nice big puddle and hydroplane.

Ahhh the feeling of being alive.

Where you thinking of my car when you wrote this?

List of things that need fixing-

-brake lights
-signal lights
-hazard lights
-emergency brake
-horn
-ABS
-sunroof
-door locks
-windsheild starting to crack
-control arms
-fuel gauge

I'm sure there's more...

Actually, yeah I was. I meant to put a disclaimer at the end, saying that any similarities to this list are purely coincidental, and not meant to offend Kevin.

I remember Rod saying that he wanted to plan a cruise too... remember that?

I think Sunday October 16th would be good. Tentative, of course.

I'll aim for that, and see what I can do.

Ha! It takes more then that to offend me.

Oh yeah, and I need to add 'smells like poo' to the list too.

Touche...

You're the cruise master which is why we are all looking to you for guidance and leadership.

I'd still like to do the "go topless" Sauble Beach cruise and photoshoot with the verts but running out of summer. I can finally get rid of my shirts...

A cruise up to Pumpkinfest (all makes car show, 300+ cars, 2 days) in Port Elgin 1st weekend of Oct would be good too. There's also a german only show in Kitchener Sept 11th.

That sounds pretty awesome Rod....Only thing is first or second week of October is the Trillium annual wine tour and cruise through Niagara Region. We're just waiting on Richie for the details as he's planning this event.

The september show in Kitchener overlaps the Trillium ADS.

Port Elgin might be a good idea... close to Sauble for Beach shots too (see my sig!)

I'm outta here for a week... VACATION!... I'll scout some areas of interest as I'll be heading towards Sauble, Grand Bend, Goderich(maybe not), Wasaga. Talk to you guys later!

Im interested in that wine tour / cruise. Is there a thread somewhere?

Pumpkinfest is a good weekend. I've been going with my Porsche / e30 vert buddies for 5 years... so already have 3 e30 verts and 3 or 4 928's to get things started. They park the cars on the downtown streets and close them to traffic so the thousands of spectators can mill around. There's an awesome car friendly campground where I stay right in town (family friend owns it) and there are lots of pubs etc to get a beer and food. The show has a lot of Detroit iron but also a lot of unique cars from dragsters to 20's rat rods, and everything from Isettas to a 1925 Rolls Royce Picadilly Roadster (look it up). A lot of crazy builds. Just about anything you can imagine.

I pre-registered already along with 225 others, but most people just show up and register on the spot. If you want to put your car in the actual show it has to be 25 years old OR modded heavily, although I do see later models there. I would classify this event as a relatively "mature" group so don't expect a Miami-esque night cruise scene... more like beer and burgers and blue rodeo.

If you guys are interested lmk.
