Ideal tire set up?

After much reading, it seems the e36 (ive got a 328i) wants to be sitting on 225 45 17 tires and sqaured all around at 7.5

Im picking up a set of DS2's this week and just want to make sure my tires wont rub

Im running Koni STR.T shocks with Eibach Prokit

If I go staggered it will be 225 45 front and 245 40 rear

If I go sqaured it will be 225 45 all around

Will either option rub? 225 45 squared is my safest bet no?

It all depends on the wheel with and offset. DS2's are OEM for e36 so you shouldn't run into any rubbing issues at "normal" tire widths.

The _proper_ size is actually 235/40/17 all around (check your door jamb for sport package). I would not go with staggered unless the rims are staggered themselves (different widths).

More reading I've done, 225 45 is optimal from what I keep reading as a daily and road handling

For staggered most go with 225/45/17 and 245/40/17.

you can run 235 40 17 on staggered oem rims as well. I prefer this.

I run that set up as well on my E36 328i...... 235 40 17 staggered OEM rims. BFG KDW 2
