1980 Camaro Z28 Clone

1980 Camaro Z28 clone.
135000 kms, automatic
I got this car in a trade and it just isn't my thing so I am putting it up for sale.
The car has a 350 V8 with a 4 barrel carb. It runs but needs some tuning to get it running well.
New battery, starter, alternator and fuel pump.
Comes with lots of spare and upgraded parts, including a B&M shifter, full poly suspension kit (body mount bushings have been installed), Z28 body mouldings, spare carb and more.
Interior is unfinished, but has a new carpet and from what I can tell all the parts are there to finish it.
One side of the sub-frame was welded by the previous owner and the other side looks solid.
The steering has a weird noise, and the brakes are weak, so I would not trust taking it for a drive, but it can be seen running.
Car needs work to pass safety, and is being sold as is.

Why do you think it's a clone? Do you mean that it's been modded to "look" like a Z28?

I had a '78 z28 back in the day (I believe the same colour). Your's appears to have many of the Z28 specific element....the blacked out headlight bezels, the hood, and lovers. To me, the most telling element that was unique to the Z28 in the Camero line, is the "ribbed" steering wheel.

Although there wasn't much other than cosmetic differences between the Z and the other models, this looks to be a real one unless the owner went to a fair bit of effort to update it to look like one.

The vin shows it being a 6cyl camaro, and the previous owner told me he took his wrecked 81 Z28 and pulled all the parts off it and put it on this car.

I know it to be a clone, so I didn't want to advertise it as anything else.
