You shouldnt pay for it at all.

You dont even need anything fancy like this
just get a wire and ground 7th connector for 5 sec

Yep, do it yourself forsure, BMW charges a fortune for reseting the lights....

i have a cousin that works at BMW dealer... he does it for free... he changes the oil for free too!!

I paid 110 US for mine on ebay, I like it, as it reads all the engine codes and saves me money incase i have something stupid easy to fix and the dealer will charge me 90/hr to do

I find it very good, plus when you get a decent tool, i have the Peake one, it comes with a book and tells you what every code means, resets check engine, oil, inspection and brings back the green bars. If you get some stuff poppin up that you have no idea I usally just write them down and tell my mechanic to fix a,b and c only and I have a good idea what these parts are and $$ since i have ETK, so you're less likey to bend over

I've heard the PEAKE is ok, not the greatest, but helpful. You should be able to find them for around $200-$250 cdn.
