1.9L M44 engine



Well i did a search and what not. Some are saying 94, some are saying 96...97...etcc

Now when did the M44 1.9l come out on the e36's?

And is just on the is's or......just 2 door and not 4...on convertable...


I looked on sites' and it's giving me different answers here and there......

the m42 is the 1.8l Dohc 16v
the M43 is the 1.6l and 1.9l Sohc
The M44 is the 1.9l Dohc.....

I always thought my car had the M44 according to these specs...

The M44 is in all 96+ 318 models.
