BMW Protection packages

I am just about to purchase my first BMW - a 2015 Tanzanite Blue F33. The dealer is trying to sell me on the BMW seal and Protect (as well as the FCPP corrosion protection - an electronic device I have already decided is BS). Does anyone have experience with BMW Paint Protection which "locks in your BWM?s showroom shine, and prevents the paint from peeling, fading, or getting discolored by elements such as UV rays, tree sap, road tar, bird droppings, acid rain, and bug acids. It is also a permanent wax, meaning your car will be glossy after every wash."

I have a hard time believing it is worth it - however some research has indicated to me that the permanent solutions do work...

There is no permanent solution.
The longest lasting are ceramic coats, which can be applied professionally, or with DIY kits. Even these will last 2-3 years before they need a refresh.

The other option is just to apply paint sealant. Not as hard or long-lasting as ceramic coats, but many will provide protection for over six months. So apply twice per year.

The BMW offered coating would just a ceramic coat with a large mark-up. BMW is not in the paint protection business, so it's just another product that you could get on your own without the middleman.
