E30 owners, help me price my parts.

Well i put my car in the trader today for $3500 obo. It's a 1990 325I...

I want to know what i can get for the car if i part it out instead of selling it. As it sits right now the body is a bit rough because of some rust on the bottom of the doors and fenders + my friend's sister backed up into one of the fenders with a GMC Envoy.

So if i was to part it out, i'd like to know what to ask for my parts. And i'd also like to give you all the heads up anyway as you all would probably be more interested than anyone else.

The motor has 186900 km, it runs very mint i just did t belt, water pump and tensioner. Price ?

Tranny is good too same kms ?

Full IS interior in black leather, with door skins front and back, arm rest in rear seat and headrests in the back seats ( i put those in ) ?

Suspension, Bilstein Sport shocks and Eibach springs...1.5 years used (car has seen maybe 10k on them, in great condition...price ?

Bottle cap wheels with winter tires 50-60% tread price ?

Misc items:

cluster
stock radio
carpet
interior pieces
radiator
differential
axle
stock exhaust in good condion, oem muffler new put on 2 years ago
gas tank

and other misc pieces that i can't think of right now, basically the entire car.

What to do, right now i want to get 3G for it firm, but people are scared of a little bit of work that it needs: ball joints and 1 tie rod end + e brake assembly to be put in ( i have all the parts, just no time to put them in), and some rust, and also like i mentioned before i cut the floor out in certain spots due to rust and put down new metal.

I think i am asking a fair price considering the car runs mint and has quite a lot of life left in it.

What can i get for the scrap metal as well?

I really don't want to sell it for less than 3G considering what i've put into and what you someone could be getting, i'd rather set it on fire than sell it to a lowballer (personally)

Last pics of the car

Can i have dibbs on your "is" lip if you do end up parting it out. I would probably pick up so more stuff as well.

Im sure you could make some pretty good money off of it. From what I remember the interior was minty. Plus all the other stuff you mentioned.

I said IF!!!!! I didn't force anything, he may have re thought his situation, and what he wants to do with the car. All I am saying is, if he changes his mind about dealing with the burdens of parting out a car, yaddi yadda, and is willing to lower his price, I may have a friend interested that's all.
I said the car had major rust issues as a statement, from what I remember reading in HIS thread that he posted, I also specified that the may have been addressed/fixed. I'have never seen the car to say for sure, I just know what I read in his thread.

Exactly so you should shut ur mouth. And calm down already.

All im saying is that the guy clearly asks not to be lowballed and u rudely and disrespectfully do exactly that.

Guy, I think you should sell the whole car, there are so many guys parting out e30's including myself. That car looks good and with the extras maight sell as a whole car.

The effort it takes to pull stuff off the car and then still have people beat your asking price to the ground for parts is not worth it IMHO. I also have had people asking for parts saying they want it for sure and on transaction day vanished like Houdini

If you are concerned about lowballers making offers on the whole car, you will be going nuts if you parted it out, lots of lowballers on parts too.

Parting out on this site seems to always make the owner quite a bit of coin.

Dont do it! Trust me, i do this on regular basis...The value of a car is way too high to be worth parting out. If it was a $500-1000 car, then YES...But in your case i rathere even take $2500 for it then try to get $3-3500 parting out. Unless you have TONS of time, space, and energy to deal with its just not worth it. The first $1-1500 will be easy, then you will have 2-3K of parts sitting for a LONG time!
