Too lazy to go to court to get a court date for parking/traffic tickets?

www.parkingtickets.to

Its 10$, you get 1$ off if you scan/fax the ticket.

Used it a couple times, seems to work good. Im really lazy, plus i dont like spending too much time around courthouses. Too depressing.

edit: 10$ for parking, 20$ for traffic offenses.

The site works nice on iphones, i often process the stuff for the court date before the officer who gave me the ticket finishes his shift.

Good find! Are people allowed to submit those trial option sheets on your behalf?

Yes, it says you or your agent, they would be considered your agent.

re: parking tickets. There was an article written in the Star or Globe- can't remember; about the municipality trying too shrug off the immediate problem with back logged courts.
Some people have been waiting two years to get to court for parking violations. They denied admitting that it's such a huge problem that only a small percentage actually makes it to court. the choosing of "WHO" actually goes is apparently random. You may never see court for your ticket. The city draws in huge revenues from this but it's dropped alot since the lid has been blown off this issue and especially now with the recession.

Take your chances if you wish. :-)

so all they do is request a court date for you? you still have to go to court right?

I've never gone to court to request a court date. i just checked off the back of the ticket and mailed it in.

you just chose the option on the back of the ticket and send it in.
They will mail you a request to attend court. The day or date can be anytime.

if you submit it; you may get one, you may not, or you may wait a very long time before you do or not ever get one. The municipality is saying they don't cancel tickets; but what they aren't saying is that you may never get to court because of the huge problem they are having back logged. Not enough court rooms or judges to attend to each claim. So they hope that people will just pay them; making them richer.

Good luck!

I think this is just for traffic tickets, for parking tickets I believe you have to be there in person. Otherwise, this service is useless and I've been paying them for nothing

It's such a hassle to drive to that courthouse on Eglinton/Keele. I'll definetly be using this service, much rather pay a $10 fee for this service for parking tickets instead of the full $30 ticket price!

Its eglington and black creek. 10 mins from my house. I'd still rather pay 9$.
