Myth or true

I met this auto appraiser yesterday and he says if one can get their vehicle appraised as antique or classic their insurance rate will be way lower. He says he just appraised an 89 Mustang for that purpose.

I thought it was the other way around. Anybody heard something like this before?

You have many restrictions on it , you are only allowed to drive a couple of days a week , and also you are not allowed to go over a ceratin amount of kilometers. Like a stupid lease.
