exactly, I read a article where this company tested the GTR on several occasions, they dynoed everyone of them, the HP numbers where different almost everytime, and we're talking about 50+hp or more difference

Wow, I've never been a huge Ferarri fan b/c I've always hated the stigma associated with the brand and its owners, and well, there you go!

In any case, I would be SUPER ****ING pissed if I found out my Ferarri didn't perform as the magazines claimed. I would also loose my shit if my GTR (Ugly POS computer) had 50 less hp than someone else's.

that's because the top gear episodes are shot much earlier in the year and are shown to the live show later. They're not always going to be able to get the same car that set laps six months ago in their studio.

Another thing, whether or not the GT-R was 'fettled' for the nurburgring run I don't know, BUT every GT-R dyoned by the owner has so far produced more than the advertised horsepower. You're going to have differences from engine to engine because ONE person builds the entire thing. Nearly every customer GT-R tested has lived up to it's performance claims, and Nissan even sent a GT-R that had worn brakes, accident damage in the rear, and non-standard tires to participate in EVO Car of the Year (the magazine chris harris works for and the magazine that ferrari tries most to impress/deceive) and it STILL won. I don't LOVE the GT-R, but you can't compare what Ferrari does (non-standard tires, engine tuning, customized suspension tuning) to Nissan's effort at promoting their car which is at least 9/10ths true to customer spec.

Ferrari and other manufacturers have done this over and over again and will continue doing so.
However i dont understand what the deal is with everyone hating the GT-R. no matter how many times they prove it.
No matter how many different people test it it always wins.
People need to get over the Nissan badge.
At the end of the day if the GT-R is slightly slower than a 911 turbo its still cheaper, easier to drive and more comfortable. I am with maroli on this.
I guess people will always dislike it simply because its good at what it does....humiliating expensive brands! i would defo take a GTR instead of a 911 or F430 any day and any place! And i will be laughing my ass off teasing them!

By the way Porche did call them out but i think their answer more than shut them up!!!
I particularly liked this part:

"Nissan has revealed that the GT-R used in the official lap time was actually at a disadvantage due to up to 50kg of testing equipment. According to GTRblog, Nissan has also offered free driver training for Porsche if it wants to attempt a second lap. "
