There's no such thing as easy to find tires for anything that fits an E30 well today. 225/40 is actually the ideal size but I suggested one that was a bit easier to find. 205/50s are too tall for that fitment.

A friend of mine has some Enkei RPF1s for sale, he says they came off a mini and are 16x7 +43 offset

What would I need to put them on my 1986 325i convertible? (both spacers and tires)

My math says min 20mm spacer, and 25 if I want it to look perfect.

I was also thinking that 215/50 tires would work.

Thanks!~

All correct. I'd go with 20mm just to save the weight and money of 25mm bolt-on spacers (double the cost and weight per corner). You could also use 225/45 tires with the 20mm (215/50 works too).

I'd like to go 225/45 but it seems to have a very limited selection for tires, 215/50 seems to be much easier to find something.

Thanks again.

Looking for a good tire to fit factory style 5's (6.5x14) (hope i'm not the only one)

195/65r14 is ideal but I think 205/60, 195/60 or 185/70 will also suffice.

Tried out some Toyo Eclipse A/S tires and they are far too floaty for my E30. Zero confidence in these "T" rated tires!

Are Nexen any good, not sure I want to run another crazy set of Falken Azenis, other options???

There's nothing left really. 205/60/14 Federal 595s from onlinetires.com maybe.

Buy 15s already!

Man, I honestly tried... Ordered 15's from BMW, almost 3 months later they finally arrived one wheel short of a full set.

My 14's are in great condition, if road forced mounted they usually don't need weights. Found some Falken Ziex ZE329's at Pep Boys. This will be my 4th set of Falken tires. They really don't last! lol

It's that mighty 4 banger tearing the treads right off them. Need to retrofit traction control on that thing.

The last thing this car needs is more electronics to maintain.

It's actually my DIY string alignment that's eating the rubber.

Can I run 275/35/18 in the rear?

Just a followup on available tires for stock 14's.

Toyo Eclipse will get you around but not a sporty match to the car. The "T" speed rating and lack of sidewall made these fall short in my experience.

Falken Ziex ZE329 (Available in the US). My 4th set of Falken's for this car and still quite happy with them. Pretty nice balance of ride comfort, handling and noise level.

Couldn't find any other name brand options and I wouldn't suggest anything below a H rated with a good summer tread pattern.

Hey Jay,

Just wondering if I would be able to fit 16x9.5 et 11-12 in the rear? and what tire would be a good fit for that setup?

Hey Ashraf, that's about the ragged edge for rear fitment. Possible, but your fender roll and spring rate have to be spot on. 205/45 is the easiest to fit.
