any gun owners here?

not interested in shooting people or animals, only paper targets and taking them apart and awe at their mechnical structure.

I can't understand a word on the CFC website about the new restriction and licenses. So if you got one, holler.

I was looking for a shooting range in GTA, I couldn't find any. Also from what I heard you can't own a hand-gun in Canada. I always wanted a Desert Eagle.

not really looking into owning a handgun, but where would I take the classes to obtain the license? I had hunting license before I was 18, and that was before the gun law etc, and I got my license from Canadian TIre, but apparently they don't even know where I need to go for the class.

Every shooting range has classes. Find the closest to you and go to their website, they all have complete classes. First you'll need to pass your unrestricted (shotguns, rifles) and then you can take your restricted classes/test (handguns). They're pretty short, like a few weeks of wednesday evenings, and then a demo (gotta show the proper stance, safe loading etc). All in all to get a handgun I think it will come out to like 200 bucks for the two levels of courses plus the safety test/license.

I couldn't find any in the GTA or matter of fact the southern ontario. Now I'm in Moncton NB, hopefully they have something here. BTW don't move to Moncton, its fcuking boring. But the insurance is dirt cheap here.
