I've generally seen the purple font used to indicate sarcasm on internet forums.
I'm not sure how well it will work with a black background like this forum uses though.

Nope... that isn't very easy to read... Probably need a
lighter shade, but then it wouldn't be "Purple", it would be "DarkOrchid"... Or even
lighter, but that would be "Plum"...

This site strips the actual characters "<" and ">" to keep us from adding direct HTML code in our posts, so you need to either change it to a pseudo-BB-Code tag using "[" and "]" instead or use
< and
>
And if anyone is using one of the apps like Tapatalk to view the posts on the site from a cell phone, the color "standard" goes out the window since many of those apps don't do the colors on the fonts.
